Dad’s Toy Trucks

My dad loved toys especially trucks. He loved to collect miniature die casts, Hess Trucks and even create his own wooden ones. The homemade ones are my favorite. When my brother and I were young my dad would make each of us our own original wooden toys. These weren’t simple designs cut from pine. They were crafted from hardwoods and had real moving parts. My dad is hands down my hero. For many reasons but notably his strength, faith, and perseverance. My dad is the smartest person I know, not only because he is committed but because he never gives up. My dad had a talent for meeting people. It didn’t matter where we went, Dad would introduce himself to total strangers always with a handshake and a smile. He loved being with people.
